I am so excited you are doing these posts. I am a Teaching and Learning Coach and am guiding my teachers through implementing Common Core. My goal for this semester is to become more versed in Math standards and the mathematical practices so I can be a strong resource for my teachers.

Antoinette, thank you so much for this encouragement. I am super excited about this blog series and am keeping a running list of ideas to share. When I first posted this one, I felt kind of silly because it is so simple. But then I thought, that is the whole point--to show how EASY implementing the math practices can be. And, we all have to start somewhere so these ideas will be a way to get teachers headed in the right direction.
